Kleo Bar

This bar is situated on the beach offering great views of the sea. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There is a great choice of drinks, milkshakes and ice cream on the menu. There are also TVs around the corners of the seating area showing sport, music events, etc. the bar with a great variety of music playing throughout the night.

Chocolate

 

• This bar is situated close to the harbour and offers a spacious outside seating area, as well as an extra rooftop seating area, with a great variety of drinks on the menu. The bar is quiet in the evening with a more relaxed atmosphere but becomes a great place for a night out later on in the evening, as the music is turned up and the dance floor illuminated. 

 

Yacht Point

 

• This bar is situated on the marina, offering great views of the sea. The staff are very friendly and attentive. There is a great choice of drinks, milkshakes and ice cream on the menu. There are also TVs around the corners of the seating area showing sport, music events, etc. There is a small dancefloor inside the bar with a great variety of music playing throughout the night.

 

 

 

Beaches

 

Kalkan has its own pebbly beach just to the east of the harbour where you can swim in the beautiful clear water and can rent sunbeds with umbrellas for sunbathing.

 

Further away is Kaputas Beach, 10 minutes away from Kalkan. This sandy swimming cove is situated at the bottom of a mountain gorge with sunbeds available to hire.

 

Another option is Patara Beach, a beautiful stretch of sand and was voted one of the top beaches in the world in 2005 by Times Online. The beach is backed by dunes and there are also sunbeds and umbrellas to hire.

 

 

 

Beach Clubs

 

There are lots of beach clubs around Kalkan offering water sports or simply a good place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Many of the beach clubs can be reached by a boat taxi from Kalkan harbour.

 

 

 

Water Sports

 

Kalkan is a great place for many water sports such as jet skiing, snorkelling, parasailing, banana boats and much more. These can be done at many of the beach clubs that Kalkan has to offer.

 

 

 

Scuba Diving

 

Kalkan is one of the top locations in Turkey for scuba diving. There is a great variety of marine life and lessons are available from beginner levels to advanced. 

 

 

 

Boat Trips

 

There are plenty of boat trips to choose from which run daily, taking you to many of the beautiful places around Kalkan, including bays, beaches and sea caves. The trips include plenty of stops for swimming in the sea and lunch is also provided in the price. These tours usually leave at 10am.

Shopping

 

There are plenty of shops across Kalkan where you will find everything that you are looking for from Turkish Delight to carpets to t-shirts to traditional souvenirs. There are also great clothes and jewellery shops. All the shops are open from early until very late at night. The popular Kalkan market is also a great place to shop, offering a great deal of souvenirs, household goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, DVDs and lots more. This is open every Thursday.

 

 

 

 

Turkish Bath

 

Enjoy the popular experience of a traditional Turkish Bath. You will experience a full-body exfoliation, foam bath and lather massage. Some facilities provide the use of a sauna and steam room as well.
